In response to a complaint filed by journalist name withheld,*Kishtwar Police took decisive action against an individual accused of posting derogatory comments on social media.
Acting promptly under the direction of SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS, an FIR No. 17/2024 has been registered at PS Kishtwar, invoking relevant sections of the law. The Cyber Cell was immediately tasked with tracing the perpetrator, resulting in a successful raid conducted by Insp Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO PS Kishtwar, and his team. The accused, identified as Sunil Kumar, resident of Cherji area, Dool Kishtwar, was apprehended.
SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPSissued a stern warning to all netizens, urging them to refrain from engaging in illegal activities on social media platforms. He emphasized that legal actions, as envisaged under the law, will be taken against those violating the digital code of conduct.
