Jammu and Kashmir Police, alongside the Border Security Force (BSF), launched a significant search operation near the International Border in Jammu on Sunday evening. This initiative, aimed at enhancing security measures ahead of Independence Day, showcases a collaborative effort to maintain peace and order in the region.
The operation commenced around 6 PM in Aik Nallah, Kool Kalan, and surrounding areas under the jurisdiction of Arnia Police Station. The search lasted for approximately two hours and involved rigorous checks of about 15 houses and kulas (shacks) in the locality.
According to a police spokesperson, this operation forms part of the routine security, surveillance, and area domination measures implemented in the lead-up to Independence Day celebrations. Authorities focus on ensuring that the region remains stable and secure.
Officials reported that the situation in the area remained entirely normal during and after the operation. No untoward incidents were recorded, reflecting the effectiveness of the search initiative. These measures are particularly crucial as India approaches its Independence Day, a time often marked by increased vigilance by security forces.
