Kishtwar, June 26, 2025:
On the directions of SSP Kishtwar Sh. Naresh Singh-JKPS,* an awareness programme was organized today under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan on the eve of International Day Against Drug De-addiction.
The event was conducted at Bus Stand Kishtwar by SHO Police Station Kishtwar Insp. Firdous Ahmed under the close supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Dr. Ishan Gupta-JKPS.* The aim of the program was to spread awareness among the general public about the ill effects of drug abuse and to encourage collective efforts towards a drug-free society.
The event was witnessed by around 70 to 80 participants, including local residents, students, shopkeepers, and youth, who were sensitized about the dangers of drug addiction and the legal provisions related to drug trafficking and consumption.
Kishtwar Police reaffirmed its commitment to continue such initiatives across the district to safeguard the youth from the menace of drug abuse and build a healthier, drug-free society.u
