Continuing its drive to arrest wanted criminals, absconders, Doda Police has arrested another ABSCONDER who was evading arrest since last 09 years.
Giving details Police said that one accused namely Mohd Amran Malla S/o Mohd Afzal Malla R/o Harpura tehsil kokernag Distt anantnag was involved in a theft case FIR No.185/2014 U/S 457/380 RPC registered against him in Police Station Doda and finally the case was Challaned in the year, 2015. The said accused person was declared as absconder by the Hon’ble court of law and general warrant of arrest under section 299 Cr.P.C was issued against him. But he was evading his arrest since 2016.
On the directions of SSP Doda, Shri Sandeep Mehta -JKPS, a special team was constituted headed by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed khanday, SHO P/S Doda and duly assisted by PSI Ankush Nagra. The team generated sources and after getting technical lead tracked down the absconder and finally arrested him from Jammu. The accused person is being produced before the court of law.
Mentionable here that Doda in a special drive against the criminals has arrested (22) absconders during the current year including arrest of (04) absconders during the month of December-2024.
The SSP Doda in his address has asked all the accused persons who are absconding in different criminal cases of district doda to either surrender before the concerned Hon’ble courts and avoid humiliation or they will be chased and arrested and produced before the Hon’ble courts shortly.
