
Hon’ble MLA Inderwal sh Pyare Lal Sharma Visits GMC Jammu to Inquire About Bear Attack Victim from Panchayat Anjole Gwari

In a heartfelt gesture, MLA Pyare Lal Sharma visited the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu today to meet Kewal Kumar, son of Bodh Raj, a resident of Panchayat Anjole Gwari in Kishtwar district. Kewal Kumar was recently referred to GMC Jammu after sustaining critical injuries in a bear attack near his village.
MLA Sharma expressed his deep concern for the victim and assured the family of all possible support for his treatment. He interacted with the hospital administration, emphasizing the need for specialized care and urging them to provide the best medical attention to ensure Kewal Kumar’s swift recovery.
Speaking about the incident, MLA Pyare Lal Sharma said, “It is distressing to see such incidents happening in our rural areas. My priority is to ensure that Kewal Kumar receives the best possible treatment. Additionally, I will work towards improving safety measures in wildlife-prone regions to prevent such unfortunate events.”
The MLA also called for better coordination between forest officials and local authorities to address the increasing incidents of human-wildlife conflict in remote areas. He proposed awareness programs and swift response mechanisms to safeguard residents of regions like Panchayat Anjole Gwari.
