
Srinagar, Oct 29(TNF):In line with its commitment to fostering sustainable agricultural growth and supporting the farming community, J&K Bank today organized a seminar-cum-awareness camp in collaboration with Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) and the Horticulture Department. Held at the District Horticulture Office in Budgam, the seminar focused on promoting the High-Density Plantation Scheme, drawing a large gathering of farmers eager to explore the scheme’s potential benefits.
Speaking on the occasion, the Bank’s Deputy General Manager (DGM) Rakesh Magotra explained in detail the purpose, process and features of the High-Density Plantation Scheme. Addressing the assembled farmers, he outlined various avenues available under the scheme, emphasizing the financial benefits that could be accessed through credit linkage with J&K Bank.
He also highlighted the Bank’s initiatives to support the farming sector, particularly through government-backed schemes aimed at enhancing productivity and profitability in horticulture.
Earlier, Senior Manager Aftab Ahmad Shalla introduced the scheme to attendees by providing an overview.
