Kishtwar, July 13, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Sh. Naresh Singh (JKPS), visited the revered Shree Chandi Mata Darbar in Machail today.
The DC paid obeisance and reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming Shri Machail Mata Yatra 2025, scheduled to commence on July 25, 2025.
During the visit, the DC evaluated key infrastructure and amenities, including sanitation, water supply, electricity, and road connectivity. He expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and directed the concerned officers to ensure round-the-clock monitoring to deliver a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching experience to the pilgrims.
The DC interacted with local residents at Machail, listened to their genuine demands and concerns, and assured them that the best possible steps would be taken to address their issues. He urged them to maintain cleanliness and adhere to all necessary guidelines to support the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
The DC also conducted a meeting with concerned officers and officials of the Sub Divisional Level Paddar at the office of SDM Paddar, issuing necessary directions to ensure their round-the-clock dedicated efforts for a smooth and hassle-free yatra for the devotees.
The DC also inspected the ongoing work at Yatri Bhawan Gulabgarh Paddar and directed the executing agencies and contractor to complete the balance work ahead of the start of the yatra.
