Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kishtwar, Sh. Pawan Kotwal (JKAS), today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of the construction of pucca houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0 and to take stock of the ongoing PMAY-U 2.0 survey in the district.
During the meeting, Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Council Kishtwar, Sh. Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal (JKAS), briefed the ADC that a total of 239 beneficiaries have been covered under the ongoing survey of PMAY-U 2.0 till date.
ADC Kishtwar emphasized the importance of timely implementation of the scheme and directed the Executive Officer, MC Kishtwar, to ensure the completion of the remaining survey within the next two days.
The PMAY-U 2.0 aims to provide affordable housing to urban poor and is a key initiative under the Government of India’s mission for “Housing for All.”
The meeting was attended by CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, CEO MC Kishtwar Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal besides other Senior Officers and concerned staff.
