
Today, the District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson of Kishtwar, Mrs. Pooja Thakur, met with the Hon’ble Chief Minister Jenab Omar Abdullah at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu.
During the meeting, Mrs. Thakur discussed several key issues, including employment opportunities in project companies, and held detailed discussions on the Health, Education, and Jal Shakti sectors. She also raised the concerns of Rehbar-e-Janglat employees, seeking resolution of their long-pending issues.
Mrs. Thakur highlighted pressing development concerns in Kishtwar and extended a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Chief Minister to visit Kishtwar. The Chief Minister graciously accepted the invitation and assured that employment-related issues in project companies would be addressed during his visit, where he will engage with the heads of the project companies directly.
Key demands raised by Mrs. Thakur included:
1. Immediate provision of staff for Government Degree College Padder.
2. Adequate staffing for Sub-District Hospital Padder.
3. Improvement in road connectivity for unconnected areas in Padder and Nagseni.
4. Addressing the acute water shortage in Mandal, Kishtwar.
5. Early resolution of issues concerning Rehbar-e-Janglat employees.
6. Establishing a Degree College in Dachhan.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to all the concerns and assured that these matters would be taken up on priority.
