Srinagar_ Sept 18( TNF): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha congratulated Jammu and Kashmir on its historic voter turnout in the first phase of the assembly polls.
“Congratulations J&K for a historic voter turnout! I would like to thank all voters, who exercised their franchise in the 1st Phase,” Sinha said on X according to KNS correspondent.
He further added, “Record polling in the peaceful, free & fair election attests to the strength of Indian democracy & people’s faith in democratic values.”
Sinha also praised the participation of women and first-time voters, saying, “I must congratulate all my sisters & first-time voters for participating in large numbers to celebrate the festival of democracy.
