The Shinkun La Tunnel Project entails the construction of a 4.1 km long Twin-Tube tunnel at an altitude of approximately 15,800 feet on the Nimu – Padum – Darcha Road, aimed at providing all-weather connectivity to Leh.Upon completion, it will stand as the highest tunnel globally.
This project is expected to significantly enhance the mobility of our armed forces and equipment, while also promoting economic and social development in Ladakh.
