Sadhotra shocked over loss of lives in boat capsize incident in Srinagar
In a statement issued here, Ajay Sadhotra while expressing his shock and grief over the death of many school going children, after a boat capsized in river Jehlum near Gandabal Batawara in Srinagar early on Tuesday morning, has sought a thorough inquiry into the tragic incident and to fix responsibility as to why inordinate delay has been caused to complete the underconstruction bridge near the site of this tragic accident.
He has prayed that the Almighty Allah may give enough strength to the bereaved families to withstand this immense loss. He said though there was no substitute to subside the pain and agony of the deceased families , the government should immediately sanction adequate compensation to the next of the kins of deceased families .
While extending heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families ,has prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
He has also urged for intensified search operations to find out the remaining missing students. He has also sought immediate completion of the under contruction bridge near the site of the incident.
