DODA POLICE DETECTED LARGE SCALE DAMAGE OF GREEN TREES , SEIZED ILLICIT TIMBER IN HUGE QUANTITY (150) DEODAR/FAR SLEEPERS IN TANTA FOREST OF GANDOH AREA. In a statement issued by Doda Police it was told that a Police Party of Police Station Gandoh was on patrolling and area domination duty in Bathri, Tanta area of Gandoh and meanwhile it was learnt through reliable sources that one person namely Shah Mohd son of Ghulam Mohd resident of Draman Tanta tehsil Kahara has cut down green standing Deodar/Far tree in Tanta forest illegally and has dumped huge quantity of sleepers nearby his house for selling purpose. On this information the Police party rushed to spot, searched the area and found 150 deodar/Far sleepers which he had dumped nearby his house. Upon this, case FIR NO.09/2024 under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Gandoh and investigation of the case has been started. Doda Police has launched. special drive against the timber smugglers ,drug smugglers, bovine smugglers and appealed to the general public to provide information/inputs if any smuggling is noticed in their neighbourhood so that culprits are booked and crime free atmosphere is built up in the District.
